I have several pyrex/anchor glass dishes. I use them everyday and I experience wear and tear on the lids. Replacement lids from the website run $6-$8 (including shipping) a piece. Does anyone know of a better solution to ordering the lids from Anchor or Pyrex? Does anyone have any greener solutions to the pyrex/anchor containters? I am not looking to replace my glass containers for more plastic. Thanks

I see unmatched lids, and bottoms, all the time at thrift store. maybe ebay?

You could see if plastic lids from coffee cans fit. Astonishingly, they fit our Corelle bowls like they were made for them.

Brilliant! I'm going to go see if they fit my Corelle bowls right now. *runs off to kitchen*

Wowzer, they really do fit! I'm so excited. No more plastic wrap on my bowls for me. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice. I will see if I can find a coffee drinker to steal the lids from. I have several sizes of pyrex/anchor containers. :( Do you have any more suggestions?

Subscribe to Worldkitchen site newsletter; twice last year they had them on sale for $1.50-4.00 dollars depending on size. I use them to pack lunches so I bought 5 of them.

If you're in Canada, you can get them from most Canadian Tire stores at a fraction of the price as here.
