C. Wright says:
Bravo! Our first Friday Filk. The rest of you may submit original creations, but don't forget to vote for others.

I sat down to look up one little thing I was musing over as I swept cat fur into bales. Unfortunately the musings took me to the TVTropes.com page and I got lost. Talk about a time consumer. I would call it something else but I'm not sure I can except on Mondays. Can I reference the gobbler of everything if I didn't create it?

Where is everybody? We'll die in a week if y'all don't get in here and help. However, the only way I'll win the non-game/contest is if no one else visits.

I could have sworn I posted. Oh well. Thanks, CW for hosting!

Filk Friday? Crud, I love reading them, but my brain is mush right now. How many imaginary points do I lose if I fail to post a filk? Can I do imaginary push-ups to make up for it?

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 14, 2012 10:52:42 AM PDT
C. Wright says:
One is not REQUIRED to filk on Friday - but you have the opportunity to get points for your efforts shown by receipt of votes from others.

Samaya Young says:
Ah, a real KTT again.
Evenin' folks.

Archer,
How's your hangover today. :-)

Samaya Young says:
Lee,
Russia, huh? Cool...I think.

Samaya Young says:
JJ,
Frankenstein. Would that be a new play? If so, who're you playing? If not...what's Frankenstein? LOL

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 14, 2012 11:53:24 AM PDT
Samaya Young says:
C.W.,
We can infract? Wow. I aim to misbehave...but I am not sure what the infraction was.

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 14, 2012 12:02:48 PM PDT
Samaya Young says:
Awesome! Filk day. Already forgot...is that an infraction, do you suppose.
Good job, Joyce.

Does this mean I have to filk as well
Because if that is true, I might have to ring a bell
To sing and dance
To strut and prance
It might be a bit of a thing
To watch me dance and sing
But that's what friends are for
Heck, I'll be nice and not give an encore.

LOL

Samaya Young says:
*snort* Good one. Hi Kindle-a.

Samaya Young says:
Not? But I...but I...well, whatever.
;-)

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 14, 2012 12:38:27 PM PDT
C. Wright says:
Ok, Samaya, I relent - filks are required FOR YOU on Fridays . . .

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 14, 2012 12:44:06 PM PDT
Samaya Young says:
No, no, no. I insist. No special treatment for me. I'm all for equality. Hehehe.

Hi C.W.
How're you liking hosting so far?

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 14, 2012 1:04:47 PM PDT
C. Wright says:
It's a hoot . . . (I actually heard our neighborhood owl hooting last night . . .)

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 14, 2012 1:16:09 PM PDT
Samaya Young says:
Owls over here screech rather than hoot.

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 14, 2012 4:48:55 PM PDT
ĴĴ says:
Yes, it is!!! I'm playing HENRY CLERVAL...the best friend of Dr. Victor Frankenstein...and the only LEVEL-HEADED of the bunch!!! HA! ;-)

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 14, 2012 5:37:36 PM PDT
Lee says:
What happened HENRY? Where you in the graveyard when someone hit you on the head with a shovel?

(+1 filk vote for Joyce)
(-1 filk vote for Samaya, since she wanted equality, I had too, otherwise it would have been +1 for her too)

Posted on Sep 14, 2012 8:16:49 PM PDT
C. Wright says:
Points scored so far:
4 = Joyce & Samaya
3 = JJ
2 = Archer & the elf
1 = J.D. & Lee

Posted on Sep 15, 2012 5:38:07 AM PDT
Can I filk if it is not Friday?
What happens if it is my day
To have the muse strike me?
Will C. Wright like me
To create bad rhymes
at inappropriate times?

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 15, 2012 8:24:46 AM PDT
C. Wright says:
Filks are good anytime - if two or more people vote for it, I'll give you a point.

Oh, give me a forum where the Spam flows fine,
Where every post is linking to a work of MINE!
Wherein I can drive 'em crazy with my self-re-views,
And when people call me on it I can act a-bused!

(With -a-yo,ho,ho and a hee, hee, hee,
We'll be a-spammin and a-jammin up in Fan-ta-sy!!)

OH, give me a discussion I can hi-jack now,
With my story of an ogre and his ma-gic cow!
And I'll throw in a few pirates just to keep it real,
And then attack any nay-sayers with some down-vote ZEAL!

(With -a-yo,ho,ho and a hee, hee, hee,
We'll be crammer-spammer-clamoring in Fan-ta-sy!!)

I'll be at my keyboard twenty hours a day,
So my pirate-ogre masterpiece won't go a-way!
I will post in every thread, ev'ry night and ev'ry day,
And pretend I didn't know about the M. O. A!!

(With -a-yo,ho,ho and a hee, hee, hee,
So you might as well abandon hope in Fan-ta-sy!!)

(The "views" expressed in this filk are in direct opposition to those of Archer, and should be taken with all the sarcastic intent intended.)

Can you tell that I'm gettin' tired of people spammin' the Fantasy forums? Am I not subtle? Sheesh!!

Posted on Sep 15, 2012 8:52:42 AM PDT
I should not have gotten into it with the spammer. I should know better.

Posted on Sep 15, 2012 8:55:18 AM PDT
Yep. "She" tried just a little too hard to act like "she" wasn't a polished writer. What "she" came off as was...ummm...someone who couldn't put a sentence together. Shows the respect this author has for his readers, doesn't it? WHY, WHY, ALWAYS in FANTASY??!!

Posted on Sep 15, 2012 8:56:08 AM PDT
And I really tried to be helpful, too. I'm sorry, I'm just a wee bit crabby today. (grumble! whinge!)

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 15, 2012 9:37:04 AM PDT
WHY, WHY, ALWAYS in FANTASY??!!

Archer, it's fantasy and their writing ability is all in their minds where the fantasy has crowed out their ability and imagination (I'm being charitable here). Too bad they can't be wished into a grave in the VGF where they would be flamed into oblivion.

I vote for Archer because rants are important.

In fact, CW, there used to be a rant day in one of the KTTs and it was a good rule. Well, it wasn't so much a rule as a named day since rants weren't required.
