I've just discovered that JK's first adult book is due to be released in September. I'm really looking forward to it.

No JK Rowling fans in America? :)

I'm interested but have reservations about her crossing over into adult stories. I think Harry Potter is awesome, I'm an adult and an American! Anyway, I will give it a chance and read it when I can. Do you know if it can be pre-ordered? I'll check on amazon. Do you think it will be good? She is an amazing writer.

Agree with Jules. I'm old enough to be a grown up, live in the U.S. and love the Potter series so much that if I were given one wish, I would choose to be eleven years old and getting on the train for my first year at Hogwarts. I'll give her book a fair chance but I hope she has a few more adjectives beside enormous. While I would never tire of an enormous slab of chocolate, she tossed that word around too much. I have all the Potter books in the original British (bobble hats, roundabouts, jumpers, trainers and pudding instead of dessert).

I think you'll find 'original British' is called English. American English is called American. ;)

I'm really curious about J.K. Rowling's first adult book since the end of the "Harry Potter" franchise. I wonder if it will be a novel of realism or a novel of fantasy. I wound't be surprised if it separates itself from other book we're used to.
