...where the blink is ALAN MONTGOMERY and does he still remember the one and only JEDI CLAMPETT?! ;-)

Just like I thought...Confederate money isn't quite what it used to be.
Hope you're still around, Alan. I am. May God bless you.

Jedi Clampett

I've been wondering, too. Merry Christmas, Alan, and I hope you have Internet access that doesn't rely on the former employer!

(Oops-- did I ever leave a review of his book?! I'm not good at timely feedback! -- it's been well over a year....)

Moon Shadow and Jedi I'm still here,
though not much since the end of the year.
My heart thinks it rare
that you both really care . . .
why, it fills my eyes with a tear.

I was doing a project that was way to large.
But I have more patience than old Aunt Marge.
I got it all done
and now I see sun
Cause this project I don't need to dodge.

"Wait," I said boldly and loudly,
"I'm writing limericks rather proudly,
but the poet in me
should know that poor me
has written verse that is dowdy.

Now I must ask with a wet eye,
Where is the master named Jedi?
Now it's he who we miss,
He who fills us with bliss,
And who wisely can say, "So said I!"

I know that's a terrible rhyme,
But you see, I don't have much time.
I'm due to leave soon,
I'll be gone till afternoon,
And my rhymes are never quite sublime.

The rhymes in Limericks you may stretch,
Without feeling like too much of a wretch.
The important thing is
You're considered a whiz
If the darn thing doesn't make readers kvetch!

And of course rhyming two lines is easy, but then to rhyme that last one is really hard. Thanks for the compliment.

Well- deserved!

I mean, it takes months for me to come up with even a limerick (though it's not just rhyming but timing and energizing and all.)
