My just published book, "Resolve All your Allergies..." (highlighted below), is the culmination of my own two decade struggle to resolve my own allergies. My key discovery was that it is all the plastics, additives and chemicals that are causing our allergies and other chronic health problems. The resulting solutions I detail in the book were hard won and I have fair confidence they will work for others as well.

Here is the issue: I am seeking out others interested in receiving a complementary copy of the book, trying out or implementing some of the recommended solutions themselves, then hopefully reporting back to Amazon with a review of some sort, positive, negative or neutral.

Just let me know, by email or on this forum, and I can send you a PDF copy for review.

(I am new to being an author and new to Amazon -- I presume this is the correct forum to report this request, but if not I do apologize. Do let me know which forum might be more appropriate for such a topic)

I think you've done exactly the correct thing here by starting a new thread related to exactly what you want to discuss - that way people cannot say you are hijacking a particular forum directed at a different topic, for your own agenda, or being irrelevant, and so on.

Good luck with your book. Sounds interesting. I'd actually like to get a copy. My husband is an allergy sufferer, so are many people in his family.

Unfortunately, Linda is mistaken. There is a forum for new authors.

Otherwise, under amazon TOS, you are not supposed to hawk your own book in the forums. It is very likely your post will be deleted.

If it is deleted, don't blame a conspiracy.

Your reaction is typical, and characteristically paranoid!

I am not the forum police, nor do I really care who posts what. But since you and others have ALREADY accused others of "getting posts removed" I figured that I would warn this person and explain that he is violating the TOS and that his post *might* get removed for that reason AND told his that there is a forum exists where he CAN advertise his book.

But obviously, this is unimportant to you, Linda. You want to go straight for the conspiracy junk.....why am I not surprised?!

what's funny is i haven't mentioned the "C" word even once!
you've done it twice so far, and you've only posted twice.

You have not mentioned it, but you absolutely implied it.

Just like you did with the poster who used the slang word for excrement. Your not allowed to use such words on the forum, but that is immaterial! Not when you can accuse others of secretly getting posts that we do not like removed!

Next time you accuse another poster of being discourteous, I might remind you of this exchange.

Hi Linda,

Gladly, I can get you a FREE copy to look over and review. (I don't know what is allowed as far as communicating on here) My book page has a forum of its own at the bottom, maybe you are allowed to leave some sort of contact info there. Alternately, google maverick allergy and leave a message -- there seems no way to actually communicate with people on this site (bleak, the whole affair -- I do want to sell tons of my books! But without reviews, this is not apparently an easy feat).

You are welcome, Rob. Amazon is perfectly capable of removing your post if they so desire, AND THEY DIDN'T.
The folks at amazon are quite fair in the way they treat newcomers to these forums. After all, these forums are overrun with people who are here to SELL the philosophy of the Big Pharmaceutical companies, the Health Insurance Companies, the Big Brother Communistic Health Care systems, etc. It may not be a nice place for honest folk with timid ways, but you will soon toughen up as required.

Amazon have yet to boot me out permanently, and I only sell the idea of good food, especially HONEY and I have vested interest in both, but I do not market physical product outside my own continent, on amazon or via my own books. I do promote constantly, to the dismay of the forum police, two books, not of my authorship (nor have I met the authors in the flesh) but they too promote good food, good logic, critical thinking and thereby conclude that Honey is the prince of all foods and medicines.

Check these out mate:

The Hibernation Diet
The Honey Revolution:

On allergies, firstly I need to ask, are we talking about hay fever too? as from airbourne allergens, or allergies to food, drugs, plastics etc. exclusively? Because I have little to no experience with the latter, but many years with the former. I did react pretty wildly to a penicillin shot about 50 or more years ago, and fortunately have avoided almost all hypodermic needles ever since.

My latest quest for information is on the negative ions emitted by burning beeswax candles. If anyone has experience in that field, I will be pleased to hear about it. I helped my allergy (hay fever types) with the use of an expensive ioniser. Mind you, any relief from that hell is good value at any price I guess, but I did not want chemical solutions. If the same effect can be achieved with burning a beeswax candle (as some claim) then it will not only be good for mankind, it will be good for beekeepers too, and they are all but on the endangered list these days. The only folk who might suffer are those who sell the hypodermic needles and the contents of their syringes. So look out, Johnny, here come the forum police!

I read where the burning beeswax does not give off carbon........... huh?............. a source of emission free light and heat? Surely that is not possible! It is as preposterous as the perpetual motion machine, or maybe of the beehive itself.

I just thought I would toss that one in here, especially seeing as there are those here hoping to get the entire thread deleted. My message can go down the drain too, and all will be well at amazon forums.
