I'm trying to use MP with Sony Acid Music studio 8.0. For some reason it refuses to work. Folks on the Miroslav forums tell me that it does work with Cubase, but I'd rather make it work with software I have than buy another one. Thanks!

more clues pls

you might want to ask on the sony forums
or the miroslav forums
amazon is not real strong on audio stuff

else ask on general audio forums
they often have folks who can help

What kind of clues? My goal is to use Acid as a controller for Miroslav. MP has much more realistic sounds. I can easily play notes in MP using the piano layout thing, but can't get it to function as a controller. :(

You can't use it with your controller/keyboard?

Do other 3rd-party plug-ins work with your controller/keyboard?

I can tell you it does work with Cakewalk products as well as Cubase. I know people that use Reason with MP, also. I'm not familiar with Acid--but it should work like every other plug-in.

Try setting up MP in "stand-alone" mode--that's without it going trough your DAW as a plug-in. It'll come up on your desktop all alone. In the upper left hand side--click settings. Then click audio-midi setup. At the bottom left hand corner--pick midi input. Select your controller.

Hope this helps ya out. See ya!

MP is not a controller

sony acid should work as a sequencer
to make mp play as you want

read the sony manual

thanks a million! Kelly, would Cakewalk Sonar 6 producer edition work? Thanks again. :)

Just trying to help. Yes it would work with Sonar 6. But you still might have to bring MP up in "stand-alone" mode before you're able to use you controller-keyboard with it. Sony Acid should work with it, though. Good luck!
