Dingfelder says:
That's not a bad idea. Where to host them? In a separate thread?

To make it work, we'd have to give at least a sampling of what we have to loan. That list would go in and out of date as things drop off the "loanable" ability, but it would be a start anyway.

We could just have a thread for books we are looking for. We could throw out a request and see what happens. That might be easiest, because any list we have would have to constantly be changed (adding books on or removing them because they can only be loaned once). What do you all think?

Dingfelder says:
That sounds like a good idea.

Now I'm thinking we just do it here on this thread, amongst ourselves because this will require us to obtain each others email addresses and I don't really want to be sharing mine with the world.
Or we could PM each other our emails on Goodreads if Blarg is on there, then we could start a dedicated thread.
?

Dingfelder says:
I'm not on goodreads but I guess I could sign up, if that would make things more secure. I don't know anything about where to find whatever thread, though, so if there's anything to it, give me a heads up.

By the way, I think I'm going to go back to using my real name, Marc Iverson.

Posted on Feb 27, 2012 3:36:27 PM PST
Well, good, because I keep typing Marc...and then I say oops, it's Blarg now and have to retype it. I didn't know if you preferred not using your real name?

Setting up a GR account is very easy and you can do as much as you want or as little as you want there. You wouldn't have to set up bookshelves and list all your books unless you want to.
Once you sign up, click on find friends and punch me in. I use the same picture and name so it should be easy to find me. We can friend each other and email our emails to each other and then I will open a new dedicated thread here, if that sounds good to everyone?

I have a treehouse that you're welcome to use. It is supposed to be "no girls allowed" but it should be okay as long as no one tells Spanky.

There is a free Tom Piccirilli today Clown in the Moonlight.
I have been meaning to read something by this author, so this was a good opportunity for me.

Read the LOOK INSIDE of DWELLER. Very nice writing style! Had to go ahead and purchase it. Another great suggestion!

Charlene - thanks for the Pic link! That's a major score in my book. I am a big Piccirilli fan, although some of his earlier horror novels I get a bit lost in. His more recent noir themed books are about as good as the genre gets.

You are most welcome! : )

I'll be looking for your friend request, Blarg.

Ack! Charlene, none of my search Charlenes come up with photos! Only cities/regions.

Maybe you should do a search on my name instead, Marc Iverson.

I sent you a request.

Okay, got it. Also from recluse, approved both.

A link then popped up to check you guys out, but it wouldn't work. I'll go onto their site to do it. Gonna do a few errands for an hour or so first though. Talk atcha later!

Not horror, obviously, but it maybe a useful freebie if someone suffers from Lyme Disease:

Yes, I'm still working on my deconstruction of The Grief Frequency. I'm re-reading it to see if I made a mistake or missed something.

Who is Spanky?

Also, judging from his/her name, I think I kinda *wanna* tell Spanky ;).

Spanky from the Little Rascals.
