Awww, Froggy, I'm bummed. : (
But, it would be fun to see Ozzy with Slash.

Agreed! Have you heard Slash's solo CD from 2010 entitled RNFR (rock and f- roll)? It has Slash collaborating and writing all fresh tunes with some great stars including Ozzy, Fergie (who seriously can rock with her tune Beautiful Dangerous!), Iggy Pop, Lemmy from Motorhead and many more. It is an amazing CD without one bad song, in my opinion. If you haven't already, check it out on YouTube-just type in Slash and you will see a list from the CD to choose from. Pick any of them and I dare you not to like them!

Black Sabbath without tony Iommi ain't Black Sabbath.
Nobody plays like him, except maybe the late Randy Rhoads.
Slash is good, but it's not the same.

No, but I think people would rather see something than nothing. Canceling the tour altogether would be heart-breaking so they play in Tony's honor and they hope that this time next year he will be well enough to go back on tour again.

I miss Randy Rhoades. He was the next Hendrix but never got more than a couple albums to show his talent. I love them so much I have owned Blizzard of Oz and Diary of a Madmen as albums, then tapes, and now CD's. I haven't put it on my Ipod yet, but that's next.

On another note, I must say I am feeling a little better about the state of rock-n-roll lately. A lot of old bands are coming back out with new CD's including Sabbath and Van Halen. Metallica still kicks butt and I have heard some other classic bands are making new music but forget who now.

The new Van Halen CD is much better than its first single, Tattoo. Check out some of the other songs and you will feel like it's 1982 again. David Lee Roth can't sing like he used to but Eddie on guitar and Alex on drums go a long way to making me feel like a kid again on a hot summer day, hanging with friends and trying to learn all the lyrics to the latest tunes.

Diary of a Madman? One of my favorite horror movies. A Vincent Price flick out of circulation so long most people have never heard of it, much less seen it. It's a take on Guy du Maupassant's (sp?) short story, The Horla, one of my favorite monsters ever.

I miss him too.
Loved hearing him do Paranoid.
I've got all those CDs too.

I listen to AC/DC and still think Angus Young kicks major butt.

OMG, Lemmy! I haven't thought of that guy in ages. I'm going to check them out, Froggy and I will report back.

Just finished The Darkness on the Edge of Town...was good :)

Trying to decide what to read next.

Think I'm gonna read The Tommyknockers next. Keep getting the urge to re-read King books.

How about you? What are you reading?

I just started Patient Zero by Maberry. I finished Neverwhere by Gaiman, which was awesome , and read a novella Brother's Keeper, a novella which was pretty good. I heard Darkness was a good Keene book.
I hated Tommyknockers, BTW. I'll be interested to hear what you think : )

Neverwhere was great!

Neverwhere was very good. Now I get it when people talk about how great he is. American Gods just didn't click for me, for whatever reason, but this one really did.
And about the other thing, again, I'm sorry.
