Amazon, will not allow a rose by any other name. Hows Normie? I'm gonna do a shazzam, that's Captain America talk here in the states, and return to Betelgeuse. B, the name just has so much warmth. That beach in the background looks like Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Bye.

I kind of liked Count Vronsky, but too many others did too I suspect. Yeah, I know is good but needs ellipses. Say What? a maybe. A rose by any other name B? Yeah, I know... ;)

Well? Yeah I I know, Say What, or the ol standby, the insect eating Betelgeuse? What say you, twinny twin twin.

Sorry to hear that B. The thing is, that no one knows how we got here to the planet and no one knows why. With that being said, no one truly knows what is right or wrong. Right or wrong shouldn't be defined by laws and rules but simply through respect. If you don't want to be shot, lied to, or stolen from, then why would you do it another. You and I did not choose our lives, nor our bodies, so who has the right to tell us that we are not good enough. Your teacher knocked you down but that doesn't mean you aren't good at anything. You are unique and you very existence is a miracle because there will never be another you at all. Not now, or in a million years. Do what you love and smile because life is beautiful no matter who's eyes your looking out of. And trust me, I'm sure you teacher had her own insecurities. We all do.

It's a heavy load to bear, but you meet the nicest people. Lots of luck in your writings.

If I personally had any creative talent, I'd be a very happy person. My 7th grade teacher was holding try outs for the chorus, she had each of us sing a couple of lines from the song, row row row your boat. I sang and the ol girl said, without any compassion, Paul, you may go to the playground. I was downcast to say the least. I promised myself I'd never smile again. Wipe those fears from your eyes, I've adjusted, somewhat.

Well, he was bad boy. He knows the rules and he chose to be a scofflaw. Like the new look, Yeah I Know, it's a lot softer than, Say What. Experiencing any of the current cold snap where you live? Man it looks like N. Dakota, possibly Alberta, Manitoba or even Saskatchewan. Stay well and safe.

It's Ok Taj, Betelgeuse is a troll, and will drop in on you from time to time to put you in your place, in a very cryptic way. I am rather fond of him, but you will find that others aren't . Be prepared, he may give you a hard time and will relish your responses. Like I said, welcome to the forums.

Taj, you are a precocious 22 year old, who seems to believe what your momma told you, Taj, me boy your momma lied.

I'm giving ya a 1 Star, if I could, I'd give ya a 1/2 star. Gaud awful book. My eyes gagged. This book reads like you plagurized an after school program, for the less than gifted. Now be gone.

Taj Thompson says:
Yeah John. I didn't understand that till I read the what not to do thread lol, which I promised not to. That was the only way I knew to self promote. I was thinking with a 22 year old indie author mentality. It surely won't be happening again as I now know this forum is not the place for that.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 8, 2012, 10:25:55 AM PST
Taj- you are spamming about your book. You've already been deleted from a couple of threads; you need to keep specific references to your book out of your posts. The only place you can do that is in the Meet Our Authors forum.

There's nothing wrong with honest reviews pulling down the ratings of books or other items. I have an issue with dishonest reviews, whether positive or negative -- and so should everyone else. Alas, I'm still working the bugs out of my thought-control device.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 8, 2012, 3:00:25 AM PST
"I would think that Amazon would want to moderate some of the reviews, if for no other reason than the decreased ratings pull down sales."

I see this statement repeated rather frequently, but it makes no sense. It doesn't matter if any particular item has a low rating, because other competing items on the site usually have better ratings. All that means is that shoppers will be drawn to the higher rated item. The existence of low rated items doesn't drive potential buyers off of Amazon's site, unless there is no item of that type with good ratings available at all.

Amazon does not care which items you buy. They only care that you do buy. Amazon also cares about keeping customers happy, it's one of their biggest priorities. The reason being, happy customers are repeat customers, meaning more profit.

If an item is hit with a low rating because it's a poor product that helps keep Amazon customers happy, because they are steered clear of buying something they will regret.
