Firestick Security Concerns

Mark says:
Is there any risk with downloading apps for unknown sources on my Firestick? I found a source on Youtube directing me to a server to download useful apps such as Modbrov and Movie HD. Looking at the privacy conditions the app can add or remove accounts, it is always given full network access and prevents Fire from sleeping. Can a 3rd party access confidential areas through the Firestick? Could someone access my Amazon account through the Firestick and make purchases?
