Mary, first... are you in the US?

2nd, if so, try rebooting your Kindle. You didn't say which Fire you have, but it involves holding your power button for 30 seconds. Then press again and allow the Fire a minute or two to restart. I don't know if this will help you, but doing a reboot cannot hurt your Kindle, and rebooting seems to "fix" a lot of problems.

Use the phone option... they call back very quickly.

Or perhaps, wait an hour or so and try again...perhaps it is a temporary server glitch. (Wouldn't surprise me with all the new Fire Christmas presents trying to access the video servers today)
