I've seen several boards discussing photo apps that can be used to access the HD's camera, but I've yet to find an app that will allow video recording. Facebook has a video uploader, but I just want to record and save video. Anyone know any apps?

The Paper Cam app works but it applies effect filters to your video

Hd camera has one . I think it was a couple bucks, though, and it takes lousy videos. The Fire takes lousy pictures, too, no matter what the app. Thats one thing you need a smart phone or an Ipad for if you care about those things. For 200 bucks, you cant have everything.

@James: To add to what Lisa said, note that the camera is meant for Skype. That is why is is on the front, and that is why it is 1.2 megapixels.

I found an app at the app store called "myCamera HD" for $1.99. Simple and easy to use!

Youtube link below is helpful. The application is called AdVideoCamcorder.

Check the comment for the link for site to download the application from. This particular youtube video shows how to download and install from the Kindle Fire HD. The application can be download from a computer, side loaded, and then installed.
