Tracy, how would Amazon know the name of your network and its password? You do have to register it including that information; other than that, it is ready to go. There's no software to install, nor is a computer required to use the device.

You are obviously online right now. I assume you are at home and have an internet connection. If that is the case then you just need to make your internet connection wireless by adding a wireless router which costs 30-50 bucks depending on the brand (you could pay more but for your needs you won't have to). It is a one time cost. In addition, depending on how you are accessing the internet right now you may already have wifi. FIOS comes with a wireless router.

Now, if you can tone down your obnoxiousness we could probably point you in the right direction.
