Donna, in answer to your question, yes it does. That is the purpose of a concordance and the ESV Bible has an excellent one. It's free so my suggestion is to download it and try it out. If you like it, you may decide to pay for their study bible version, as I have done, or stay with the free version. Both have concordances.

Bible Encyclopedia (ISBE). I use this along with my Bible. You can make this the active dictionary on your Kindles to look up words. Works great with any Bible.

I, too, have the SearchBy VerseTM Bible. I have it on both Kindle Fire and Kindle. It is VERY easy to use. You can look up specific books or chapters or verses.

Does the ESV Study Bible allow you to look up certain words and find the relevant verses containing these words?

Donna, I think what you're looking for is a concordance. I use the ESV Bible. It's a great translation, well-formatted for Kindle, includes cross-references, has a concordance and, best of all, is a free download.
The Holy Bible, English Standard Version (with Cross-References)

I also recommend the ESV Study Bible. The articles and maps are great, particularly if you have a Fire. It's not free but is very reasonably priced:

All Bibles can be searched just like any other Kindle book. And almost all should have an active table of contents that will get you at least to the chapter level, and possibly the verse as well.

This is the one I use - SearchByVerseTM Bible (KING JAMES VERSION): Fully Searchable By Book, Chapter and Verse: SEARCHABLE KJV BIBLE WITH COLOR ILLUSTRATIONS [Illustrated] (SearchByVerse ... Bible | Search By Verse Bible Book 1)

Can anyone recommend a searchable Bible? I need one where I can look up words and it will show verses that contain them OR where I can look up specific books or chapters or verses. Also with a reference or concordance. Thanks in advance for any help.......
