My kindle e reader 3rd generation keeps saying "there was an error while registering your Kindle. Please try again later". And it has been like this for a few months now. I have restarted it, reset it and reregistered it and still nothing. Please help.

My Kindle Fire 7" 2nd Gen worked this morning, now my name does not show up in the corner. When i try to register my kindle with my amazon account info... (which i'm certain is correct) it keeps saying "There was an error while registering your kindle. Please Try again later." When I try to create an account with the same information, I get "an account exist etc.."

I have had this problem. I discovered in my amazon account it had the kindle registered I presume as I had bought it through them but without a serial number. I went to the amazon kindle support page and clicked on the rhs button to contact kindle. there are then 3 options one is to chat - which is online. You need the kindle serial number from settings and mac. I was working in a very short time as the assistant registered my kindle for me

I had the same problem today. The kindle was a replacement for an old kindle (while in warranty. It had frozen screen). The CS could not resolve the issue after 2 hours and they are sending me one more replacement. Such a nightmare!

Have you managed to register yet? We've been getting the registration error message as well.

Dog Lover says:
If you bought the Fire FROM Amazon, it is probably already registered to your account.

Check the Manage Your Kindle / "manage your Kindle devices" to see.

Did you folks buy your new Fires at Best Buy? If yes, you need to contact Kindle CS. There is a known issue with some Fires that were delivered to Best Buy stores. CS can get you registered.

It could be a case of so many people trying to register their Fires at the same time. :-D

Is this a Kindle Fire? You may have to call Kindle CS. There have been problems with a few of them.
