Aww... now there's a thought, R. Acoya... nicely put!

bought a hedge trimmer that wouldn't mow the lawn and complained that only one free trash bag is given each month as a bonus.

R. Acoya says:
I think they're related, in the subconscious: folk flounce because they feel they've been fleeced.

I never could do a good flounce. I must rush out and practice, being the last shopping day and all :-)

I am glad that the room is nice & warm now.

I hate being cold, so I feel badly for anyone who gets cold.

Stay warm & enjoy your day. :-)

So basically somebody bought a hedge trimmer and then complained that said trimmer wouldn't mow their lawn? :O

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 24, 2012 7:19:29 AM PST
LOL! Good to know I'm not the only one.

I'm warmer now. The room my 'puter is in is an "add-on" and was never connected onto the rest of the house's heating system. Too much expense, seeing we're in AZ and don't use the heat much anyway. I did plug in a space heater this morning, finally. I just don't like how much power it consumes, seeing the outlets in this room are probably maxed as it is without the heater... I only had to run it for like 20 minutes and now the room is toasty. :)

That's funny - it makes me think of fleece, too - I thought I was the only one. LOL!

It is cold today. Try to stay warm. =)

I think so...

eta: Everytime I see the word "flounce" it makes me think of "fleece" even though I KNOW the words don't have anything to do with each other. But, I'm shivering, trying to warm my hands on my coffee cup and I could use some fleece...

Just because you do not find value in Prime does not mean it is a joke. Many people get more than their monies worth out of it. The free book a month is just a perk not what you are paying for. Prime is a shipping program. I know you said in another post that you get free shipping anyway which means you have to spend more than $25 at a time to get that. There are many times I only need 1 or 2 items that total under $25. It is nice to have them in 2 days.

Did I just see a flounce?

KessaJo says:
That was uncalled for!

KessaJo says:
No, they do not - they would prefer to spend $79 on something & later complain that it doesn't work the way they thought it would, even though it is clearly stated on the Prime page.

Just sayin...

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 24, 2012 4:58:30 AM PST
True. For all her snarkiness aside, though, at least she stated it wasn't worth it to her and didn't subscribe, unlike some others who did and were then unhappy because of the book lending limits.

Anyway, Prime doesn't meet her needs; fine, but calling it a "joke" was uncalled for.

I personally, love Prime. Subscribed for the shipping, mainly, and hubby found he loves the instant videos. The one-book-a-month lend is just another nice LITTLE perk and I think it is great that it is offered. I'm looking forward to borrowing Mocking Jay (The Final Book of The Hunger Games) on January 1st.

Some folks would complain if they got hung with a new rope.

No I didn't read any other post but yours. Somehow I found my way to the thread but missed all the other posts! <Shakes head, as I can already hear the wooosh sound as my sarcasm flies over> I didn't feel a need to respond to the other post, as it has already been addressed.
Maybe you don't need prime for it's intended purpose, but that does NOT make it worthless, or a "joke" or whatever else you'd like to call it... the 2-day shipping pays for itself to most users (those who purchased it knowing what it's for and planned to use it for it's intended purpose) the videos/movies add to it's value, and the GIFT of ONE free book per month is great.

Apparently YOU can't read, since you don't even know that it is Amazon Prime, not Kindle Prime.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 23, 2012 9:00:46 PM PST
Good for you you get you money's worth in videos. I don't watch very many videos as I like to read. I take it you probably can't read.

Gee, I guess the multitudes of free instant videos are worthless. Many of them are not available on Netflix, and they charge $96 a year. Also, many of them have been more recently updated and have better formatting than Netflix.

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 23, 2012 8:56:03 PM PST
You got it as a gift? In your previous post you said you bought it.
