This needs to decide if it's written in present tense, or past tense. We can't do both. :0/

Lyn says:
Spending Christmas with a Yeti

Even though she had never mentioned it, Shayne Blackwell doubted that her mystical mother, Linda, didn't know who was responsible for Shayne's bruised face. When her mother gave her an all-expense-paid Christmas gift to an exclusive couple's retreat, Shayne was sure something was up. The retreat, located near Seattle Washington, ascended high into the reach of Mount Rainier.

From the onset of the trip, Shayne was overtaken with an edgy feeling, rising above her husband, Ranger, insensitivity and criticism of her. The road was slippery and cold. When Ranger lost control of their SUV, Shayne witnesses a horrifying sight-something only she could see. The image of a mammoth shape wearing bristly white hair had darted from snow pile to snow pile, and then finally seizing their vehicle. She screamed frozen terror into the air. Frustration engulfed her since Ranger has no idea what the fuss was all about. She whimpered as the unwanted gargantuan guest finally eases their SUV back onto the road.

As they continued toward the retreat, memories of what she'd seen clouded the remaining journey. Her life seemed like one big blur and the hulk on the road had added numbness to her woes. After reaching the retreat, her anxiety rises even higher when she meets their mysterious hostess, Ms. Wilma Vettamyer-a woman with secrets seeping from behind her aging eyes.

The grounds of the retreat were manicured and richly decorated in a rustic holiday mood. The main building was stunning. Individual couple's lodges were unforgettably romantic and spread out within miles around the main building. But Shayne and her abusive husband, Ranger, would never get to spend one night in their lodge. They would never talk-out their issues during a couple's counseling session. Before their first night could begin, they are taken by a powerful humanoid-the yeti she'd met on the road. And it is in its cave the last words her mother had spoken to her comes to life.

Jet Fuel and Revv are higher caffeine K-cups. Order them if you find most of the Keurig coffees too weak. I do and I use Revv. Otherwise you might find them too strong. You can also use them to make larger cups.

Terry, what I'd do is order a sampler of 30 different coffees so you can find ones that you like. That way you don't spend $10-$15 on a box only to find out you hate it. You might want to try some teas, hot chocolate and cider too if those are among the selection. There's even a chai tea available if you like those.

I'm not a coffee drinker either but my internet friend drinks one called Jet Fuel...

Hope everyone had a good day, I just finished getting all my Xmas acquisitions into the Scrooged collection. Was about to have some fun when I realized it is past bedtime, doggone it. Dad had gotten a Keurig machine with some credit card points, but never used it, so I brought it home for coffee for company (strictly tea here). Found a company on Amazon that will let me order a 30-pack of my own design. Picked out the few teas I'm getting, was going to go through and decide on coffee flavors to keep on hand, but will have to wait til tomorrow. If anybody has one, and has a favorite flavor, let me know, I'm clueless. Won't be using it for myself much, too expensive, but it will be nice to offer a variety of coffees when I have someone over......

~Sandy Shops~DD is an emergency room RN and SIL owns a business. When she is scheduled to work he does the kids and visa versa. Sometimes schedules get mixed up then Mommom to the rescue. In the mix tonight was our youngest grandson and his Dad got held up in some heavy traffic on the highway. I always have him after school so, delivered him to his practice too. Good thing they all are in the same school district!
God bless the parents who do this all the time!

Good Night All!

~Robb~Thank you so much for the link to Earth Balance. The coupon is printed and waiting to be used!

I have to get to bed. Ran around delivering two grandchildren to basketball practice, one to wrestling practice and one to voice lessons. Pick up and deliver three of them to church for Christmas program practice. Took the youngest one home, then back to church to take the other three home and stayed until SIL got home from band practice. I am exhausted. So glad all this doesn't happen often! I did get alot of "I love you,Mommom", hugs and kisses, though. Yeah, it was worth it!!!!! LOL

The Third Scroll (Hardstorm Saga 1)

A naive young healer is sold into a harsh world ruled by ruthless warrior lords, where just surviving from day to day is a challenge, especially since her master's favorite concubine doesn't take kindly to the newcomer. When the High Lord claims her for himself and carries her off to his fortress city, she expects things will only get worse. This is a story of an amazing journey, both internal and external.

Ya'll, don't know about you, but I have downloaded so many Xmas books in the last few days, that I think I am good for next Xmas, too. My Kindle is going to look at the next incoming Xmas title, and snarl, "Bah Humbug!"

Ahh, the kids and their games.

Today is colder outside. They are riding their bikes up and down the driveway pretending to be school bus drivers. They were running up and down the hill trying not to fall as they pick up speed. I know they were using sticks and trying to catch frogs by the pond.

They will come in at dinner and play with their matchbox cars and trucks, using the boards of the floor as roads. They will ignore anyone who wants to watch tv. (no cable here!)

The older and younger love to play flashlight tag outside. We have only had two broken legs with this game. They will build forts out of sticks from the trees in the woods. The teens help the little guys. I have seen but not authorized the game of mud-ball. They throw from their forts. Many times I catch a book basket outside under the picnic table. Usually when I am ripping the books out of the dog's mouth in the morning.

This is the kind of life I wanted to provide my children. The opportunity to grow up without worry or fear at home. To have a healthy appreciation for nature and the world. To see all 4 boys playing soccer or football in the yard makes me want to cry. 17yr old - 6yr old. The accept and welcome everyone.
