I can't find it. Help

JavaScript and java are not related. I know java is in the name of JavaScript, but it has nothing to do with java. I'm a programmer and had the same question for my boss one.

Scott says:
If you had read even a couple of posts in this thread, you'd know that you CANNOT put Java on your Kindle tablet. The only tablets that have even a hope of running Java would be tablets running the FULL Windows, NOT Windows RT. That currently limits you to higher end options like the Surface 3.

You can play some Pogo games, just download the Pogo app. It has 5 games on it and you still get tokens for gameplay.

No. I'm really disappointed that I can't pay my pogo games on my kindle

Like being able to play pogo games on the kindle. Can't do it because there is no java client on it.

Hi, not a user yet and getting all confused with the reviews...
Does the kindle fire old generation has a camera? I would like to do video calls using Skype with it...
Also would I be able to watch youtube videos on a kindle fire? Thanks for your answers!

Rhonda: I play Canasta on Pogo also and it was so frustrating to find out it could not be done on my Kindle Fire.

In reply to an earlier post on May 11, 2014, 2:12:27 AM PDT
Rhonda - no need to dumb it down, the answer is very simple: No. If you'd read even the posts just on this page you'd have seen that said several times.

Blokey Bloke says:
The body who devised javascript gave it that name just so it WOULD be associated with java, in the correct belief that it would have immediate recognition and acceptance.
Looks like it worked.

As is posted over and over. Java doesn't exist for android devices. Never has and Oracle probably intends that it never will.

Thank you, thank you, thank you... I didn't know what the SILK browser was and now I know. And I did check the settings finding the Javascript (which was there all along) was enabled but the Flash was not. Enabled the Flash and bingo, everything is good. I just needed a good clue which came from you.

Yes, that is why I used the word javascript, which incidentally is the issue that Middle Man, the person I resplied to, was having.

New Girl says:
Go into your settings for the Silk browsers and make sure that the 'Enable Javascrip' option is checked. It may have been reset to off.

Kindle Fire (1st Generation) When my Kindle was new I was able to view weather.gov radar with their enhanced loop for a particular radar location. For some reason my Kindle memory was corrupted and a reset of the Kindle was necessary. The short story is now when I view the weather.gov radar, only the sites "Standard Version" will function. Their RADAR FAQ states "if Javascript and/or Java is turned off in your browser settings. If so, enable Javascript and/or Java." From discussions in this forum, Java is not available for the Kindle. What changed during the reset of the Kindle? It is tornado season and I sure would like to get what was lost in the reset back.

A little research would have told you it was not going to be available on a Kindle.

I need Java is order to connect to my company's network. Very disappointed

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 9, 2014, 6:05:10 AM PST
Sha - Javascript and Java, although they sound alike, are actually completely different. You cannot use anything requiring Java on any Android tablet including the Fire. Sorry, you cannot play runescape on your Fire HD.
