Thank you James. I do believe this was my problem. I was trying to use the 3G wireless.

Also are you connecting by 3G or WiFi? Library books will not download over 3G you have to connect to WiFi to get the wireless downloads for library books.

You have to go to your Manage Your Kindle page on Amazon and find the book. There will be a drop down list to the right and one of the options will be Download and transfer via USB. You will choose where to download it to on your computer then you move it over to your Kindle.

I realize you must use the USB cable for some books. This is shown or stated under the Kindle name. I have used USB cable and they still sit in the archives and cannot be moved to home.

Some books from the library have to be manually downloaded through your USB cable. This is a restriction by the publisher. You have to download it to your computer first then move over to the Kindle.

I have a keyboard 3G. When I order books from my library overdrive.com the wireless downloads the books to archive but does not put them into home when I turn on the wireless the second time. I have tried restart and reset. Have it fully charged. I just ordered and paid for a book on wireless and it worked okay.
