Single vs. series?

I was just curious, is it better to but books seperately or as the series? Like, I wanna get the Twilight Saga for my Fire but I've heard that the collection (dunno if its all or just certain ones) combines the books into 1, so you dont know really when one ends & the other begins.

Thoughts?

I would read the lower reviews of the compilation books to see if people are complaining about any of those issues.

As long as the bundle of ebooks has an active table of contents, it is easy to find each book in the series. Check that on the product page.

I was just curious because I'd rather have the 3 seperate books than 1 BIG book in my kindle library. What are your thought/preferences?

The only multi-book I have is the Sookie Stackhouse series of the first 8 books. I didn't have any problems with it, and never noticed whether it had an active TOC or not.

usually there's an image of the cover and the opening of the second book - in other words, you can usually tell where one stops and the next one bigins

even in the Omnibus compilations that are offered for free or nearly free (Mark Twain, Sherlock Holmes, etc), there are divisors between books and short stories

It seems that most/all sets have them as 1 file. i prefer the books seperately. Thanks guys :)

Denis Powell says:
Zachariah, if you buy direct from some Publishers you can sometimes buy a series of books, as individual downloads, at a discounted price. The Harry Potter books from Pottermore are a case in point. Buying that bundle isn't a huge saving but I've recently bought a bundle of 30 books from a publisher for around one third of the cost of buying the books individually. That deal was only available for a few weeks but such things are worth looking out for.

Yes, if you buy a "box set" or "bundle" from Amazon as one purchase, that is always going to end up being a single file. If you insist on having separate listings for each book, you should not buy these.
