Whenever my Kindle is turned on, my desktop Windows Live Mail gives an error message and won't download email. As soon as the Kindle is turned off, it starts downloading again. Help!

The internet works fine on my desktop when the kindle is on. It just won't check email on the desktop when the kindle is on.

I have been having the same problem. I have had my Kindle Fire for a couple of weeks and have been having problems getting my emails on Windows Live but I am also having issues with getting emails on my gmail account..

Is it a Fire? If so, is this email account configured on it? Maybe the problem is two devices trying to download the same emails at the same time.

Hi - Just read your January post. I'm having the exact same problem. Were you able to solve the problem, and if so, how did you do it? Would appreciate any help.

Sadly, no. I finally just disabled e-mail on my Kindle Fire and the problem stopped. My ISP provider says it's a Kindle Fire problem and the Kindle Fire people say it's the ISP. Spent many hours on this with disastrous results. ISP provider ended up deleting three years worth of e-mails trying to fix it. Incompetent tech. Hope you get better results.
