We would not have a way to know that. Sorry!

Why is it taking Amazon so long to develop a Kindle version for the BB 9900!? I doubt the platform is so different to previous versions.

@nice_cup_...: We are mainly Kindle owners here, not from Amazon. They don't tell us those things.

Also waiting too!

I know this doesn't add to the discussion except to let Amazon know there are those waiting around for an 9900 app :p

I am also waiting for it. When I chose the 9900, it was one of my "must have" apps. I took it on faith that it'd be ready in a month or two. So I am doubly disappointed -- in Amazon and in my misplaced confidence. Certainly there's not a huge number of 9900 owners, but the porting shouldn't be all that hard.

It's actually possible to load the Kindle app on a 9900 (I've done it) - you'll just have to plug in your BlackBerry into your PC (just once).

See this workaround, from the CrackBerry forums: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-apps-f35/kindle-app-works-perfectly-9900-9930-heres-how-672338/

Why be upset with Amazon? The Blackberries should be more compatible with each other so they all don't need different apps. Don't matter, don't think they will be around much longer.

Agree with Jeff - it'd be nice if they supported BlackBerry 7 users out of the box, but hopefully they do sooner than later. In any case, check out the workaround in my earlier post. It IS possible to get the existing Kindle app to work on a BlackBerry 9900.
