I have bought it already more than one year. And I have consulted the input method. Until today there is no chinese input method. I fell very frustrating.
Because of a lack of input methods, the use of the process has brought me a lot of trouble.
Do minorities can not use your products?

they just came out with french, german, spanish, italian and portuguese versions 10 months ago - I'd imagine that they'd do next biggest markets next (India just announced the opening of a kindle store)

also, if there are less than 1000 books in a language available, it's likely to be pretty far down the list for developing an interface

When I use IM with my family and friends online chat. When I edit a Chinese document. When I visit website, enter a search content, I can not enter Chinese. These is a nightmare for me, Is this nightmare will never be able to end?

@vampires: I think that you need to use the large orange Contact Us button to the right to talk with Amazon Kindle CS and talk with them about it - use the live chat or the call back feature if you can, not email.

I understand your frustration, but you might want to actually convey your need to amazon (this is just a forum for kindle users and not a way to contact amazon)

try sending an email here: kindle-feedback@amazon.com

however, I wouldn't hold your breath as it took amazon almost 3 years after releasing an international version of the kindle to provide the ability to have french, german, italian and portuguese keyboards and those aren't all that different than an english keyboard and they still haven't made the game apps for the e-ink kindles available internationally

You bought the Kindle knowing at the time that it did not support Chinese. Why did you expect that that would change later? Why not buy a product that supports Chinese in the first place?

Buy the Google Nexus7 and use the free app Go keyboard.
But Nexus7 doesn't support Flash, another bomber to me.

Bixillarla says:
mn543, no new Android device ill support Flash. Adobe no longer supports Android devices, more and more websites are switching over to html5.

The new Fires, cell phones, tablets, etc any new mobile device that runs Android will not have Flash.

Tell me what this means to the average not-that-tech-savvy consumer? Is that going to cause inconveniences, or ...what? (Says the gal with dumbest cell phone they make.)

I want to return too because I cannot search web with Chinese, it is so inconvenience, the devise became useless to me. Can I return if this is bought within 1 year?

Nowadays almost all electronic device support Chinese, especially it can surf internet and download add. Can't imagine this Kindle Fire can read Chinese but cannot input Chinese, it is a dumm device.

Without Chinese input the Kindle will remain a watch list item for me. That's why Amazon compares its Kindle with iPad without listing the language input comparison in the chart... I guess less money means less features in this regard.

the only way i can input chinese atm is to visit the yahoo hong kong website, use the write pad for search engine there, copy and paste the words i need...
