I am able to remove apps from the device, but not from the cloud. How do I manage apps for the Kindle Fire that are located in the cloud?

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 22, 2011, 3:06:51 PM PST
Go to Manage My Kindle, Manage Apps. You can delete them from there.

You can't delete the pre-installed apps such as Facebook, however.

This doesn't remove the app from the cloud list on my kindle. It no longer shows up as an app in my device or my amazon account but how do I get it off the cloud list?

Makesha, go to the top right of this page and click on "Your Account." Scroll down to "Digital Content" and click on "Manage Your Kindle."

C. S. Jones says:
For the apps I believe you go to Digital Content > Your apps and devices. Manage your Kindle has an active content entry but that isn't applicable to a Fire.

Good information. Got it!
In short:
Your Account > Manage Your Kindle > Manage Your Apps...
Find the offending Apps (such as the preloaded comics and ESPN Scores)
Under the Actions... drop down on the right select "Delete this App".
Go to Kindle and select Refresh.
Gone...

This works for apps that I've bought through the Kindle store, however, apps that I've bought through Amazon's Apps for Android store aren't being removed from my cloud. I can take them off the device and they're off the account, but when I click on the Cloud button in my apps on the Kindle Fire, the only option is to add them to favorites or install. Is there a way to get rid of these apps or are they stuck for eternity in the Cloud? I can't get the dictionary out, either. Is that because it came installed? I was able to get rid of ESPN and that came installed.

Thanks!

I recently streamed a movie on my fire and it seriously used up alot of the data on my verizon plan. Is it better to stream or just download a movie?

Thank you! I deleted it off of my device online but couldn't get it to register with the device itself. I didn't realize you needed to sync it! So helpful!

what the fuss is all about ?
go to your amazon account from your computer
click on App store for Android
and then on Your apps and devices
there you have it
now choose the app that you want to delete forever
go to Accions and finally click on delate this app

now you will have to wait a couple of day or more . the app won't go away so quickly from the cloud , be patient !!

I have done what you said, but it still will not remove the app called GROUPME from my kindle fire cloud and it has been a few days, do i need to contact amazon? or what else do i need to do?
1. i went to my amazon account
2. clicked on app store
3. deleted the app called groupme & text+
4. and waited but they still show on my cloud

BLZ says:
Wait at least 4 days I assume you have desinstalled the app previously. Ok well done, make sure the app is really gone in your amazon account , it should go away immediately. It takes several days for the new change to hit the kindle fire.

You can delete apps that were not pre-installed permanently by going tohttps://www.amazon.com/gp/mas/your-account/myapps, then deleting them from there. Then, on your Fire, go to Apps-->Store---->Settings----My Apps----> Click on Refresh, near the top right.

You just have to go to settings in your kindle and Sync after following instructions above! The refreshing in store doesn't work
