I think I figured out the two banned titles and Amazon has got to be kidding.

For those who don't get the emails, one is a nonfiction book about adult activity by Coinneach Fitzpatrick and the other is by Kevin Michael and is a novella starting with the word Cruising.

thankyou Joyce

And, of course, thank you. Especially given the amount of work you had to put into it tonight.

A. ... What a morning. I have been working on this for 2 hours +. I think I'm ready to collapse this morning ... :)

Thanks for your patience, and I hope you have a wonderful day. And, please know that your help is always deeply appreciated.

Joyce

This Daydreamer ... Thank you! I had to continue eliminating one by one to catch the banned titles. But, this caused my losing my posts and I would have to start all over again.

Seems strange that the books are published and listed in the search engine that I use, but not allowable to post the links.

Have a good day ... Joyce

Joyce, please read my post in the earlier thread:

Comments have different filters on what's allowed in them than reviews and titles do - stricter on some things, looser on others.

You can post the problem books if you edit the link text to self-censor whatever the 'bad' words are in their titles with asterisks. (edit: not this time! they're getting trickier)

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 30, 2011, 1:25:15 AM PDT
I don't think there are any problem words in the titles. I think it's all about the subject matter. There isn't a single word involved that you can't say on broadcast television.

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 30, 2011, 1:29:34 AM PDT
A ... Thanks! You have been so helpful.

I now have a headache and going to pour myself a cup of Java to sip on and calm my anxiety this morning ... and then get ready to go to work.

A. says:
Ha, that is odd/sad. I found the books from the author names mentioned above, and you're right, it's not individually-'bad' words at all in this case (and meanwhile the 'Princess & the Penis' book is just fine apparently, lol). I have seen that overzealous filters are sometimes set to block specific phrases of otherwise-innocent words. So let's try asterisking the key words anyway (in my next reply):

A. says:
After a bunch of unsuccessful tests, it turns out that it's actually the ASINs that can't be mentioned in any way, but it's just fine to mention the full titles; everyone will just have to copy them into the Amazon search box:

How To Be Awesome In Bed (by Coinneach Fitzpatrick)
Cruising For A Boozing: A Drunk & Disorderly Banned Prequel (by Kevin Michael)

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 30, 2011, 2:00:40 AM PDT
LMAO I figured you were having a hard time of it. What the heck is up with those books?

Posted on Sep 30, 2011, 2:35:05 AM PDT
*bump* Maybe we can bury the first attempt so no one else gets confused.

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 30, 2011, 2:38:49 AM PDT
This Daydreamer ... Excellent idea!

I know this is going to be so confusing, and I really feel bad to start everyone off this way.

I keep telling myself ... "Yes, this is going to be a good day". I just don't believe it right now.

But you made it work! You triumphed over computer issues, which is no small thing. Nothing is more frustrating than a recalcitrant computer.
