Another benefit to have Prime (besides the free 2-day shipping) is that you can borrow one E-book a month. From last Nov to this Oct (12 months) I figured I saved $76 by using the KOLL program alone. Plus, since July I have been streaming 2-3 movies a month on my PSE or Kindle Fire. Oh yeah, and I order alot of stuff from Amazon. I saved a bunch by using Prime.

If the monthly offer doesn't show up for you change your browser and it will. I switched from Firefox to IE and got it.

Next big question which a Wired magazine contributor asked Amazon and did not get a clear answer on is: Can you get out of it after one month or are you hooked for the year -- just with spread out payments?

You'll get the same effect if you'll just photo both sides of your face. Just a suggestion.

There shouldn't be any problem getting out of it since you can cancel your regular Prime account and you would be refunded the months you didn't use.

Well, we already knew that, didn't we? :-)

Remember there is more to Prime than Netflix. With Prime I get free shipping on everything I order that is shipped by Amazon plus a free ebook to read every month. I would drop Netflix before Prime.

NetFlix has way, way, way more content though. (for now).

Yeah, I wasn't going to bring it up again but now that you mention it . . .

A lot of Netflix content is, well, crap.

Sometimes I'm in the mood to watch crap like that, though. :)

Well, yes, Netflix <does> have Barbarella.

How did you get into my queue history? I think I watched that about a month ago. :)

Yup. I switched to Chrome, and it was there $7.99! Couldn't get it in IE...

I'd probably resort to calling you a degenerate mooch who should consider the spirit of the benefit and consider actually paying for a service you're receiving.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

You still have to put in your payment information and address. And of course they can track your ip address as well. Sounds like you know how to do crooked things though so have at it as I am sure you will....

Of course, you'd have to de-register your Kindles and re-register them to the new account, and in the case of the Fire, you'd lose everything that you'd downloaded to it and have to re-purchase it on the new account every time, but hey! If that works for you, knock yourself out.................

It was a limited time thing, they are testing out the monthly Prime service and only allowed so many to sign up to it as a test. If it goes over well they may make it available to every one as a permanent option.
