A security warning box keeps popping up on my kindle. It gives me the option to stop loading the page I am trying to load or to ignore the warning. Ive never had a problem with this before. How do I stop this from happening?

Is there some place that has information on a variety of AOL problems with Kindle Fire. I have several, but the biggest one is that I cannot figure out how to delete emails that have been read. Maybe if I get that one resolved, I'll be able to do the others, but right now I want to do them one at a time~

my regular kindle works just fine, but all of a sudden my kindle fire won't connect to wifi. any ideas?

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 10, 2012 4:12:49 PM PDT
Dunn: Your Kindle Fire connects via WiFi. It can only connect when it can reach a WiFi hotspot that it is registered for. There isn't a wireless adapter, other than a cellular hotspot.

it has been working with my wifi since Dec., but just stopped.

Michele: Try a reboot. With the charger unplugged hold the power button down for 30 seconds, release, and click once. That fixes most problems with Fires suddenly not wanting to connect.

once you purchase them, they show on your kindle but you have to download them onto the device. On the bottom right corner of the book you'll see a black circle with an arrow, tap it and it'll download onto your kindle.

I saw a bookmark on mine in the top right corner, did you try there?

Anyone know if you can add your personally owned movies or videos to the kindle fire? If so can you please tell me how and what directory I need to add them to so I can play and watch them. Thanks

How do you re-read a book? If I click on a book I already read, it goes to the last page. Do you just have to slide the % bar back, since there are no page #"s"

Also, what happens when your screen gets full of books? Do they stay on there?

Yesitscarl: You can add your own videos to the Kindle Fire but the have to be non DRM protected and need to be in MP4 or VP8 format. You can add them to any directory you want, the Gallery app will find them. I have a directory called "Videos" with sub directories called "Music Videos," "Exercise Videos," "home movies," etc.

Kathy, To reread a book, go to the menu when you're in the book, click on Go To and select Beginning, Cover, or Table of Contents to go back to the beginning of the book. I'm not sure what you mean by "what happens when your screen gets full of books?" On my Kindle Keyboard, they just flow over onto a second, third, fourth, etc. page. Same thing on the Kindle Fire, you just scroll down to see more books.

Uhm my kindle won't let me get on the internet. I've tried everything I could like trying to clear my history on my laptop but there's no way to do that. Then I keep trying to open a web tab and it just kicks me right back out. What should I do?

A. Dietz says:
Have you tried clearing the cache, history, and cookies? Open the web browser, click on the menu icon at the bottom of the page, click on settings, and start clearing away.

If that doesn't work, click on the gear icon at the top right of the page, click on More, click on Applications and select "All applications" from the drop-down box at the top. Scroll down until you find "browser" (it will have the Amazon "a" next to it.) Click on Clear Cache and Clear Storage Data to see if that helps.

when i press the power button the light turns on for about two seconds and it goes back off and the kindle doesn't turn on. I have tried charging it but when I do the light won't come on at all please help

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 18, 2012 5:46:46 PM PDT
Try doing a hard reset-hold power button in for 20 seconds. (I do 30) The first time it happened to me, I thought my husband broke it! (Now he's afraid to touch it-2 birds w/one stone!) I came here and was helped. :)

I have a kindle fire and for some reason for the last couple of days the light on the power button refuses to turn off. I've done a hard reset I've charged it done everything I can think of. The kindle will power off bit the light will not. It's annoying more than anything because I've only had it for a few months. Any ideas besides having the geek squad look at me as if I'm the village idiot?
