I forgot my password to get the kindle fire online. It had been saved but somehow deleted. How can I find out what it was or create a new psw. Thank you

Do you mean your network password? Who ever set up your network should be able to tell you the password.

Do you mean your parental control password? In that case, you will have to reset the Fire to factory settings and set up everything again.

What password are you talking about?

are you talking about the password to connect to your own home wifi network? did you write it down? did someone else set up the network for you, and did they write it down?
have you looked at your router for "security key" or similar wording?

Mary L says:
yes, I can't connect to my own home wifi network. I have looked all over. i'm sure I wrote it down somewhere but can't find it. Have tried all kinds if combinations, nothing works.

Then you will have to talk to who ever set up your network about the password. Do you have a computer that is connected wirelessly to your network?

Mary L says:
yes I do. I am the setup the network. I have tried using that & not working

Looks like you need to reset your router to factory defaults and re-program it with a new password.

Ouch. I'm not that familiar with that operating system. Give me a minute as we just got our first Windows 8 laptop. I'll have to figure out where Microsoft hid the password.

Not many know that Windows and Mac hide the password like that. That knowledge comes from my tech support days. :)

If I have to go back to factory settings to reset a password for parental online lock, will I lose everything on my kindle fire? Games and music?
