After all your input, I bought the Paperwhite. Now I need to buy a cover, but all the reviews are so confusing. A lot of them say they fit the Paperwhite, but then readers say they don't! What to do?

I would like to have something that folds back like a real book as I love to read in bed at night.

I'd appreciate some honest opinions.

I love the Amazon cover, although it isn't the cheapest option.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Leather Case, Onyx Black - fits all Paperwhite generations

I got this one, and have been perfectly pleased with it. amCase(TM) high quality leather case and cover for Newest Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Paperwhite 3G.

I had to return this one because it kept turning the damn thing off.

I also have the amazon cover and love it. It has a minimalist look, is very good quality and comes in several colors. The cover is easily folded back. It is pricey but it is worth it.

Oooh. That's pretty.

(I still love my Amazon cover though.)

eta: Is it heavy?

I have that one on my Fire, and I LOVE it!

All good suggestions but I prefer the more expensive Amazon version because the PaperWhite just snaps into and after that you don't even notice it when reading.

Does it have the smart on?
Ya know - the magnet thingy

I have the Amazon cover and I like it just fine when I'm using it but I like to be able to take it off when I don't have a real need for it; for around the house reading. It's just too hard to get off so I end up leaving it on most of the time.

So the other day I decided to try this cover:
Elsse Premium Case For Amazon Kindle Paperwhite and All-New Kindle Paperwhite (Styli NOT included) (Support Smart Cover Function) (Paperwhite, Brown)

It arrived today. It weighs a little less than the Amazon cover although not a lot less. Enough to be obvious when I'm thinking about it but probably not enough to matter when I'm reading.

It's a perfect fit to the Paperwhite. It's a little more comfortable to hold than the Amazon cover. I couldn't be happier with it.

I am a little concerned about it's quality. It's cheaply made. It doesn't look like it'll fall apart any time soon but it doesn't make me thing it'll last forever, either. But if it lasts a year and I have to replace it I'll be happy enough.

I've only had it a few hours now so I can't be sure yet but I suspect this is the cover I'll be using.

No, it's not heavy at all. Looks and feels like a real book.

I like the pocket type - is it snug enough not to slip out?

For 8 bucks, even 6 months will get you you're money's worth.
As long as the magnet doesn't decide to 'migrate' like my first one for my KK did.
That was annoying.

Never mind about the magnet - it's outside, not inside.

This is my favorite: rooCASE Ultra-Slim (Black) Vegan Leather Folio Case for Amazon Kindle Paperwhite e-Reader - Slim Profile 15mm (Support Auto Sleep / Wake). I have had 3 of those for different Kindles. It also comes in green and red. The sleep/wake works exactly like the Amazon cover but it is way easier to get in and out of the case if you want to do that.

I ended up getting a Roo cover and I like it, but have yet to try it while reading in bed. It was only $9 from Amazon. Thanks for the advice everyone!
