I find myself wanting to write notes to myself on the kindle that aren't attached to a book. I know I could load up the mobile web version of my email, but it is slow and clunky just to take notes. I have found a better solution and wanted to share. I am not affiliated or compensated by the website in any way.

When I want to take a note I go to shrib.com/[NameOfMyNote] and start typing in the text box. When I'm done I click the "Save Note" button. Done. When I want to retrieve it I just go to the same URL.

It would be much easier, and not require using the experimental browser, to use one of the note taking "apps" for the e-ink Kindles.

Notepad Plus

TakeNote

I read a little bit about the site you recommend. It has no security at all. Just FYI.

Lance, you are a programmer, correct?

Thanks for both of those suggestions. I did not know their we're "apps" for the e-ink Kindles. Just downloaded Take Note. I really like how responsive the keyboard is compared to the web app, but I don't like that I have to connect the Kindle to the computer to get the notes out.

Yes, I have done some programming. I mostly do hand woodworking these days.

Is it available notepad plus or any other "taking notes" app outside United States? I'm from Central America
