When I try to go to the ebooks on the kindle unlimited that saids coming soon it only gives me the option to preorder it and not give me the option to read it for free since I am a kindle unlimited member that I have with my 1 month free trail

You can't borrow a book that hasn't been released yet, just as you can't buy one.

Scary.
How can you read something that isn't released yet?

Good point.

But they aren't available through KU.

Nothing indicates KU will replace the KOLL, although until Amazon says one way or the other all we can do is guess. The assortment seems to be very similar. There's no reason to expect to see more participation in KU than KOLL.

King Al says:
You can also read them on Kindle apps, which you cannot do with KOLL.

My Prime membership is not for the purpose of reading books. I had it for years before that perk became available.

 nospin says:
KOLL and KU are separate programs. You don't need a Prime membership for KU and you can borrow books using kindle apps.

Virtually all of the KOLL books are in KU but KU has more.
