Is the yellow tint and bright white spot in center of Kindle Fire HDX's screen an adhesive issue?

Kindle Fire HDX 7", HDX Display, Wi-Fi, 16 GB
As reported in the forums and reviews, my Kindle Fire HDX has a bright white oval spot (about an inch top to bottom) in the center of the screen, making the rest of a white background look slightly yellow and aged. It's highly distracting when reading and scrolling through web pages.

My question: is this the same problem some iPhones were having with the adhesive between the screen and glass surface not fully drying before being shipped? In other words, will it go away over time as the adhesive cures? Anyone own an HDX with this problem long enough to actually witness a reduction in the yellow tint and white spot over time?

If it were me, I'd have already contacted Kindle customer service for a replacement. Start with the help link at the top of the page.

I did that once already (this is my second HDX).

Try again I would have probably just accepted first replacement had my wife's kindle not had a great looking white screen. The third replacement was the one that took care of all screen problems I was having.

Did the yellow ever tint go away?

I waited for about a month, but it never went away, so I sent it back. The third Kindle (2nd replacement) actually had a decent screen out-of-the-box. I really believe it's a QA issue.

I have no such problem with my 7 inch HDX. You got a lemon, or it was damaged in shipment. Call CS, exchange it for another device, and try a different packing method, & shipping source.

I just got off the phone with c.s. My kindle less then a week ago developed a yellow streak down the left side of the screen. I have a very noticeable flicker going on also. This is a replacement kindle that I've had just over a month. Another replacement will be here early next week.

For anyone wondering about their eyes, here is an interesting thing
http://www.cnet.com/news/that-dress-america-is-split-at-the-seams-says-survey/

If you see gold and white then chances are your eyes will not see the fault in the kindle discoloration
If you see the true colors, blue and black, then chances are you have good eye color perception, hence you will see the kindle yellowish top.

This just proves that I was right all along, that a lot of people dont have the proper color perception, now proven by science. Hence why a lot of people dont see their kindles discoloration like I do.

V. Fernandez - This is about a kindle with entirely different electronics and operating system.

The dress story is two days old - let it go. No need to resurrect posts from a year and a half a go.

The kindle issue is exactly the same as the dress issue, color accuracy. Which you dont have clearly. Anyone with good color accuracy will see the different color shades on the kindle.

A year and half ago, the voyage didnt even exist.

Several people have also complained about discoloration on the Fire. Hint - Read the title of this discussion. Sometimes I even wonder if people have a brain.
