Why did my Kindle Touch stop connecting to my WiFi?

My Kindle Touch has stopped connecting to my WiFi. I was getting a message that it couldn't find a connection, so I changed my Network name and password. The network name shows on the Kindle screen, but it will not connect.

Try rebooting the router and the Kindle.

I have called the company that I have my WiFi through and they weren't any help. I am getting very frustrated! It is now effecting my son's computer and PS3

If you changed your network name and password, then you'll have to tell your devices to try to connect to the new network's name, and type in the new password correctly.
If you fail to type in the password correctly, the connection will fail, and a lot of the time, devices will remember whatever password was typed in and never ask for the password again. If this happens, you'll need to make your device forget the password you've typed in so it will ask you for it the next time you attempt to connect, and then type in the password correctly.
99% of connection failures with wifi are using the wrong password or trying to connect to the wrong network.

Make sure the Touch is actually trying to connect to YOUR wi-fi network, and not the neighbor's.

Did you change the network name and password on your wireless router?

I've changed the passwords on all the devices, but it still isn't working.

I changed the names on the wireless router and Kindle. I'm sitting in front of the router, but my Kindle won't connect.

If you change the network name and turn off the security on the wifi router, then if your devices can connect without needing a password, then the problem was with the password, not with the router.
If that is the case, then change the network name again, turn security back on, set and verify what you set the password to, then try connecting to the wifi from each device. If they still can't connect, again, verify the password/network name.

Does the network name that's popping up on your Kindle match the new name you set up on your router? Does it have a strong signal?

Yes, the Kindle matches the new name I set up on the router, but it won't open. I sit in front of the router, but no luck. I went to my daughter's and got on her wifi right away, no problem.
