From what I've read, about half of the Amazon Prime video library is available for offline use on the new Kindle HD/HDX. But I can't find a way to look through what is actually available for download without yet having one of the devices. I'd consider purchase if the content that I want is available otherwise not so interested.

So, does anybody know of a straightforward way to look at the downloadable list? If not, can somebody at least tell if the Comedy Central's Daily Show is available (Amazon Prime offers the shows for free streaming a week after they are aired).

Thanks

Yes, I know that *streaming is available*. All Prime Members can see that. They only tell you whether *offline download* is available if you have a new Kindle HD/HDX as far as I can tell.

Can I ask you to kindly confirm that download is available? I appreciate the effort and reply.

You can download that series to Kindle tablets, iPads, Windows PCs (using Amazon Unbox Video Player) and a Tivo. The download info is under Product Details/ Rights and Requirements on the video product page. You don't need to be on one of the Kindle devices to see that. I'm looking at it from my Macbook Pro.

The daily show ins't really available thru Amazon to watch...unless you want to pay for this season...

I believe you can watch for free on comedy centrals website though and you could just get the app too.

Based on the replies, I feel like I'm not doing a very good job of asking the question ;-)

I know the Daily Show can be downloaded to any place that a normal Amazon video can be downloaded
*IF* you are willing to pay for it.

*BUT* once the show has aged for 8 days since its showing, they offer it for *FREE* to Amazon Prime
members to *STREAM* to the usual devices.

*BUT* when the new Kindle HD/HDX came out, Amazon started offering Prime Customers the ability
to download *SOME* of the *Free* *Streaming* Content via download for *OFFLINE* viewing to the
new device.

*BUT* they only seem to tell you whether or not content is available for free offline download *IF* you
actually have a new Kindle HD/HDX.

Can somebody who actually has a new Kindle HD/HDX confirm for me whether or not the Daily
Show can be downloaded for *OFFLINE* viewing for *FREE*? At this point only episodes from Season 18 are available for *Free* Streaming.

Thanks muchly!

Awesome! Thank you!

How does that work when you have the new Kindle HD/HDX? Do they display a separate download button from the streaming button? Does anybody know how to see which content is available for download offline viewing
if you don't yet have one of the new devices?

Sorry, don't know how to see availability away from the HDX...

On the device, for eligible tv shows there's a download arrow button to the left of the play/streaming button on each episode. For eligible movies, there's a 'Download Now' button towards the top right of the description box.

Thank you, thank you, Miss M!

Now if only I could figure out a way to get it to automatically download new free episodes as they
become available without having to check and I think I will have entered the promised land :-)
