J. Squire says:
Yes, you can, but first you need to adjust one of the settings and then install a new app loader called 1 Mobile Market.

Here's a video explaining it: http://youtu.be/Q87xqnwPG0U

Don't mean to state the what some of you may already know, but... The Kindle already has support for screen-casting. It is called Miracast. Miracast is an open standard and overseen by the Wi Fi Alliance . Televisions are already on the market with built-in support for Miracast. Windows 8.1 also supports Miracast. If your television doesn't have built-in support for Miracast, you can buy adapters which plug into an HDMI port. One of the advantages of Miracast is that >anything< which is displayed on your computer / tablet screen will be displayed on your television. It doesn't require any modifications to existing applications to work; unlike Chromecast whereby only applications specially modified can be screen-casted (which is a serious design flaw).

Or maybe the chrome cast was made to be like that, and it isn't a design flaw 😕

Cheryl Jones says:
the kindles do not work with chromecast. As a matter of fact amazon quit selling the chromecast on their site because it wouldn't play nice with their products. here is the article:

http://www.cnet.com/news/amazon-to-stop-selling-google-chromecast-apple-tv/

what kindle fire do you have? do you have a roku? the best buy was probably talking about the fire stick/tv.

I would definitely buy more movies from Amazon if they supported Chromecast, I really don't want to buy and have 3 or 4 devices to stream video.... oh the corporate bickering..... ugh.
