Only from the amazon app store. I sure the fire will be rooted in a short time. I wonder if it might break possible to sideload apps from the android market.

Surveyah says:
As it stands now, there will be no access to the Google Marketplace. Only time will tell if any of the popular apps you enjoy will run on Amazons' forked version 2.3. You can search for the APK for the apps u need, download to your computer, transfer to the Fire, and install them there. That is assuming Amazon has not disabled installation of side-loaded apps. As Blakeney has suggested, I am sure it will be rooted by someone at some point.

I have two android devices. I purchase most of my apps from the Amazon App Store. I have only had to use the Market twice to download apps that weren't available in the Amazon store. I suspect that with a tablet on line the Amazon will have motivation to expand their store and introduce tablet specific apps. I also have not noticed any problems on my galaxy with the apps currently available. They appear normal on the 7" screen with no distortion. That may not be true with the 10" tablets.

Seriously? What good is this Android device if you can only buy a limited amount of apps from the Amazon app store?

While I was able to sideload apps frm, I never could figure out how to get apps from Android Market onto my Fire. I finally gave up, returned the Fire and purchased an Asus Transformer instead. Yes, it was lots more expensive, but in the end, I hated being arbitrarily prevented from accessing the largest store of Android apps.

It cannot use any app, but you are not limited to the ones in the Amazon app store either. I have some apps from GetJar. I also got Dropbox from the internet.

I will admit my favorite app isn't on it, but the Amazon appstore is not that bad. I love my kindle fire, I'm sure if Amazon is smart they will expand there appstore

you might start a new thread topic for your question, or search the forum - vs just tossing a random posting that is off topic.

I'm not 100% sure but you can run an Android emulator from windows... I would imagine there is SOME way to use it to get the APKs and sideload any app you want. My Kindle Fire is coming tomorrow, luckily I have an Archos 32 Android MP3 player that I can pull apps from :)

can u use all apps from amazon app store for kindle fire

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 3, 2012, 6:48:01 PM PDT
No, not all of the apps in the Amazon Appstore will work on the Fire. On each app's product page, it will tell you on what device you have registered will work.

im wondering can you use all apps from amazon app store or only some

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 5, 2012, 3:40:42 PM PDT
Not all of the apps in the Amazon Appstore will work on the Fire. Each app's product page will tell you if it does or you can narrow your search to just Fire apps.
