I'm thinking about buying a Kindle HDX but having concern of the lack of built-in handwriting Chinese input like other tablets. Can anyone tell me if the glitch has been fixed? Today is Feb-01-2014

Rudy - The Fire HDX has a standard Simplified Chinese keyboard. You can also download keyboards for Chinese (Taiwan) and Chinese (Hong Kong SAR China).

If there is a handwriting app that you're wanting to use, you'd need to see if the app accepts Chinese input. If it doesn't you need to contact the app developers about that.

Thank you, Pineapple. Did you mean it allows only input from keyboard, not from handwriting directly on the tablet? I'm looking for something similar handwriting input on the Samsung Galaxy...

I think that this handwriting recognition app is Samsung's own - a coworker demonstrated it to me just two days ago.

This one also accepts Traditional and Simplified Chinese:

Handrite Notes Notepad Pro

There may be others in the Appstore:

I think you're correct. I know Samsung Galaxy Note has a built in handwriting recognition tool.

all smartphones and tablets running Apple IOS, Android or Window come with Chinese "handwriting" input methods except Amazon's, Amazon still only offers Pinyin methods but other brands can have both Pinyin and handwriting input methods, wait to see when Amazon can fix it,
