I have 700+ emails on my mail application on Kindle Fire, I don't see how to mass delete other then touching each one to highlight and delete it. I already deleted these off my Ipad, and computer, yikes. I deleted the email mailbox and put it back on and the junk mail came back. Any ideas? Thanks Karen

Karen,

One of the main reasons I use the K-9 and Kaiten email client apps on my Android devices (including the KFHD) is the mass delete feature. I, too, have an email account where I forward emails from other email accounts and it collects hundreds of emails that I have to delete from time to time. Kaiten enables me to search emails for a particular pattern (such as a sender or a phrase), select all of the emails that result from the search, and delete them en masse.

I use the paid version of Kaiten on the KFHD because the user interface is optimized for a tablet display and the paid version eliminates ads.

fbarich says:
The reason that after you delete mail and it is still on your KFHD is because your normal email program "Outlook Express for example" links directly to your email server and keeps the email there.

The KFHD just receives copies of your email - you can delete them, but since there are still located on your email server, they will come back. If you go to your main email program and do a mass delete, then ask your KFHD to look up new email - it will remove all the emails you deleted through your main email proegram.

I've tried numerous times and the only way I can delete email messages on Kindle Fire HD is one at a time. There are now over 500! What to do? Help. Please.

We have a PC (Windows OS where main server is), plus a Samsung tablet (Android OS) plus the Kindle. Only the Kindle cannot do mass email deletions. Is there some magic technique that I am unaware of to perform mass email deletions on a Kindle?

After reading the above posts, I did the following: Went to my PC which is our main server, deleted all unwanted emails, emptied the Trash folder, then went back to the Kindle, clicked the Refresh email button three times and finally, my 572 emails in Trash went away!!! Thanks for the inspirations found in this Discussion.

Thank you, fburich, for your response. Makes perfect sense now. My server is configured to keep email for 3 days, even if I delete them in Outlook... just in case, you know. Merry Christmas... even to those with the snide and condescending remarks who just couldn't help themselves.

I had a kindle fire that I got 2 years ago. I could do a MASS email delete...or a MASS delete from my trash. I have the new Kindle Fire HDX, and I cannot find ANYWHERE where that can be accomplished without having to delete each email. Please tell me there is a way to accomplish this without having to do it so manually??

I am in the same position with 550 emails I want to delete. I have tried using K9 but it doesn't seem to send messages only receive. I have tried changing some settings but to no avail. Come on Kindle, update the email
feature.

I also can't delete my e-mails. Just don't know how. But --- how can I delete items from my books? There are things there that I don't know how they got there.

I cannot believe that it is impossible to do a 'select all' or 'delete all' or mass delete or empty the trash in the email app. How is it possible that this feature is missing???? or so hidden that it is as good as not there? Has anyone talked to Amazon?

Just spoke to Amazon by phone and got switched to the app specialist who confirms that YOU CANNOT MASS DELETE THE EMAILS OR EMPTY THE TRASH EXCEPT ONE AT A TIME!

Here's the solution: uninstall the worthless email app and install k-9 mail or one of the other email apps.

Why on earth does the installed email client on the Kindle Fire not have a Check All to delete function?
This is the worst thing about the Kindle.
I don't want to have to install and relearn another friggin app, that may have bugs in it.
