Can't stream Netflix movies on Kindle Fire

Maybe I'm dumber than a box of rocks, but I can't figure out how to play Netflix movies on my KF. I'm using the Netflix app, I signed up for a Netflix account, I added a couple of movies to my Instant Queue, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to play them on the KF. There's no play button that I can find, and I can't find anything helpful on the Netflix site. Has anyone else figured out how to do this?

Have you pushed the Netflix app?
If you are all signed up, it should just pop up to your page. The play features will be on the bottom bar which you may have to slide up to get to buttons.

I'm not sure what you mean by "pushed the Netflix app", here's the sequence that I used:

1. I downloaded the app from the Amazon app store and installed it.
2. I signed up for a Netflix account from my computer.
3. I logged into my Netflix account with the Netflix app.
4. I added 2 movies to my Instant Queue with the Netflix app. These also show up in my Instant Queue when I access my account from my computer, so everything seems to be synced.

The only bottom bar that I see is the standard KF bar with the home button, etc. and it won't slide up, so I don't have any controls. I suppose I should delete the app and start over, perhaps download it from the Netlix site (although I don't see an Android version in their app gallery, but I'll keep looking).

Thanks for your help!

You don't see a red play arrow on your selection?

Somebody says:
Swipe downward in the middle of the screen, starting at the top, to get the play arrow. (This is assuming you tapped the film you want to see and the opening screen appears and your Fire is in the landscape position.)

Edited to add: You may have to tap once on the top middle before dragging your finger downward. That'll alert the Fire it needs to respond.

From my Instant Queue, I can tap on a movie. When I do, it brings up a description of the movie, number of stars, etc. In that description is a thumbnail sized picture of the movie, and a fairly light colored arrow shows in the middle of it (it almost takes up the entire pic.) If I click on that thumbnail, it starts playing.

When I tap the film I get a box with a description of the film, More Like selections, and a button to remove it from Instant Queue. I never get an opening screen or a red play arrow.

The screen that shows my Instant Queue has a bunch of recommended movies on the top 2 rows, and my Instant Queue is on the bottom row. Does this sound like the screen that you launch them from?

To Just Me in MI - thanks, that's what I was missing. I didn't notice the arrow in the center of the image. Now they will play! Thanks to all for your help. It was so simple!

This is typical of many problems I have had. It looks impossible until I notice something on the screen or tap the right thing/screen area. Dang, dang, dang, dang, dang, ooooooooohhhhhh . . .

I am presently watching netflix on the kf. I downloaded the free app from amazon onto the kf and it works. The play button comes up when you "touch" the bottom of the screen the sound comes up when you hit the tools icon. There's probably an easier way to adjust the volume. Anyhow, yes it works if you download the app from amazon onto the kf.

I already have a netflix account. When I try to download the netflix app, amazon wants me to put in billing information. So, I went to the netflix site to get the app there but that's also a no go. Anyone have the same problem and could help me with a solution?

You have to have a credit card on file to download any aps from the Amazon ap store even if they are free. You won't be charged for it but you have to enter a credit card.

<<It was so simple!>>

you don't want to know how long i searched for a way to lock/unlock the Fire's orientation (horiz/vertical), and then how dumb i felt when i realized i'd been looking right at it ...

Once you've signed into your Netflix account from your app you'll never have to do it again.

The thing you've got queued should be at the topand each will have a red arrow in the middle. Press to play.

Beneath those you can scroll through their other free movies & TV shows (love the British ones!) and click on any you want to watch.

Have fun!

Took me a few hours of reading posts + trial & error but here's the way to view Netflix on KF. On your PC or Mac go to Amazon.com, go to Kindle App Store, find Netflix App (took a lot of looking). Select Netflix App to download. Next select a payment method (u will not be charged tho as it is a free app). Netflix app will download into KF Cloud. When u open your KF, go to Apps, select Netflix, it will automatically load from Cloud. Then on the Netflix screen, log in as usual. Find movie to watch & touch red arrow. Off u go!

Finally figured it out. Very confusing. I was about to send back. Netflix works on all my other devices including Droid. Look for the red arrow in the small caption of the video. Click and there you have it. Prime works fine and much easier. Remember the red arrow. It works if you know what you are doing.

I've downloaded and installed the app, but when I try to access movies, I get this error message: "Streaming on this devicre is not supported for your plan." and it refers me to my account info. I have a 2 DVD, 2 hour a month streaming plan for $4.99. But I cannot find anywhere on Netflix that says I can't stream on KF. Any ideas out there?

I am connected to the Internet but for some reason the videos wont load on my kindle fire. It keeps telling me to check my Internet connection. How couldn't I be writing this message on line, if my Internet connection was off? Also, I have already rented two movies and now it wont load! Very frustrating. Can anyonehelp me?
