Bought my wife a Kindle Paperwhite over the weekend. I have an ipad with Kindle app and have made some purchases but wish to add them to my wifes kindle. Hmow do i edit and manage devices and delete for example a PC. She is registered under her own email address and I have mine but we wish to share books. Surely we do not have to make seperate purchases> thanks

CBRetriever says:
you're probably better off sharing an account as some books cannot be loaned and you'd have to either trade kindles or repurchase the book if both of you wanted to read the same one

my husband and I share his account for all our kindles except the one registered to a foreign kindle store which is on my account there

You will need to register the Paperwhite and the apps to the same account.
Click on "Your Account" at the top right corner of this screen and choose "Manage Your Kindle". One of the options is "Manage Devices"

Really appreciate the advice given and have got the picture so to speak!!. Problem still is that she likes different books to me but I am sure we will find some way to sort it out or have you any suggestions. Once again many thanks for advice.

A lot of people share the same account with very different books. You don't have to download every book to every Kindle. Just download the one you are going to read. She downloads the ones she is going to read.

If the times you would want to both read the same book are rare, you might consider having her register her paperwhite to her own account, keep your iPad on your own--when you want to read something on the other person's account, trade devices. That way, your archive isn't embarassingly full of cozy mysteries and knitting patterns and she doesn't have to wade through all those military books from today's KDD.

I share an account with my wife, and I guess both of us have pretty useless recommendations filling our screens. :) But it's worth it because we can both read books we wish to share.
