connection problem

Everytime I try to connect to the Kindle store I get a message saying ' 'Updating your Kindle Store experience. This should take less than a minute' The message stays longer then a minute then I get a message saying "Application error" "The selected application could not be started. Please try again" I have wireless on and my husband sitting next to me has been able to connect to the store no problem. HELP!

Any time a kindle won't play nice it is time to give it the (re)boot.

Charge it at least half way, then unplug the charger.
Press (or slide) and hold the power button a full 30 seconds, ignoring any changes in the power light or screen.
Release the power button. If this is a Kindle Fire, press the power button one more time and quickly release it.
Then give the kindle a few minutes to complete rebooting.

Don't try to use email with them. They'll respond quickly if you select Chat or Phone.
