Take off about 10GB for OS. (my 64GB has 54GB free)...seems a bit bloated IMO.
720P is about 1GB per hour of video
1080P can be over 3GB per hour.

FWIW, 720P looks really good on the 7 and 8.9. I think it looks better on the 7 but it all comes down to preference.
