Suggestion: power button on top instead of bottom of Kindle Fire

It seems like I have trouble accidentally turning my Kindle Fire off by pushing the power button on the bottom. Any chance the makers could put that power button on the top?

Can't you just turn the Kindle upside down? Or something - like doesn't the screen rotate?

It's on the bottom of the kindle touch too. I haven't accidentally turned it off yet, but I'm always having to pay attention to how I prop it up.

Yes, that's right, Ferret. That's the easy fix. The only problem is that the opening swipe screen is upside down, but after that, it's fine. :)

Elizabeth,
I just turned my Fire upside down. The screen rotates so it looks right-side up and the power button is then on the top.

Thanks, Bufo! I wasn't sure that I was remembering correctly. I don't have a KF or a KT, but I thought that I had seen it posted about the screens rotating. =)

Someone in the ether apparently doesn't like the solution of turning the Fire upside down, but I've been doing it for months, and it works fine. I've been able to cope with the opening screen being upside down, it's not much of a issue.

Too bad that doesn't work for the Kindle Touch.

Turning it upside down is a common sense fix, until you throw a case on it. Then the flap is on the right and it opening it up backwards. It's under hard to take a screenshot with the buttons on the bottom. Have to turn it upside down for ease
