keyboard 3G/wifi kindle will not automatically download blogs (or books upon request)

I have a kindle with 3g/wifi (kindle keyboard). In the last few weeks, I have noticed that my blogs are not automatically downloading. New (and previously bought) books are not automatically downloading when I press the button to download to my kindle. Is there a programming issue? I contacted Amazon support and they now are asking me to find the item in the archives and then download from there. I am not very happy about this as my blogs used to download (sometimes frequently during the day) but no longer download without me going to archives and finding the specific item. What's the use of 3G if it's not going to automatically download my subscriptions?

I've had that same issue with my Kindle. The solution was to restart it, which is accomplished by going to the options menu, then pressing the menu button and selecting restart.

The only thing I seem to be able to do to restart is hold the power button for 15-20 seconds until it restarts. Can't seem to find 'restart' with menu button. But, restarting doesn't seem to help. I went through the restart thing with customer service and it didn't help then, either:( Are your subscriptions automatically downloading, now?

Maybe if you post specifically which model you have (mine is a Kindle 2 international, which has a keyboard and 3G) someone else can help, but I doubt it since you did note that customer service couldn't.
