... good morning all from sunny Portugal. Hopefully this does not appear twice as I lost my internet connection as I posted!

I was reading a book and got to the last chapter when I received the message of an error occurring, delete and re-load from Cloud. I did this with no success so deleted again and re-loaded from my Account. Now I only get the last page I was reading ... nothing before and nothing after!

Any comments gratefuly welcomed.

Artist says:
If you're using a Kindle, delete the book, then reboot the Kindle by holding the power button for 30 seconds. Then download the book again. If that doesn't help, contact customer service for assistance by clicking on the Help link at the top of this page, then on the yellow Contact Us button on the right side of that page.

Thank you The Artist. I have re-booted and another book re-loaded but I am having difficulty with my Wireless so will have to wait till hubby surfaces. Will come back in due course.

Another suggestion if you have to contact CS use the chat online or call me option as the email option seems to be canned answers.

I have had a response from Customer Services who say they can't understand the problem and I should contact by chat online ... can't be bothered tonight so may tomorrow. Also, hubby has another thought.

I contacted chat online for this exact problem about 2 weeks ago. They had me reboot, delete, reload, reboot, etc ad nauseum. Nothing worked. It was escalated twice and then they said they'd contact me within 3 days with a resolution. That never happened, and at this point I have pretty much forgotten the book I never got to finish. This glitch may not have a solution.

Ah, ha, thanks for that comment EH. I have had a reply from CS saying they needed to 'speak to me' to resolve the problem so I needed to go onto chat. I think I may never finish the book also .. however, the author lives in Portugal (as I do) so I may contact him ... and pay him to send me the end!

Not sure how, but the book is there in it's entirety this morning!

Thank you all for your input.
