Honey B says:
Amazon sent me a message saying that they were giving me 500 coins. What I do not understand is why then did I have to pay for them?

I suggest you ask Amazon. This is a customer forum. Click on help at the top or bottom of any Amazon page and then the contact us button on the next page. Answer the questions and the correct contact info will be shown. I suggest using the phone or live chat for quickest response.

Detailed instructions are here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_left_sib?ie=UTF8&nodeId=201181040

You have to redeem the coins using your Kindle Fire device.
The 500 coins are free.

Honey, the coins are a gift from Amazon. You have a Fire registered to your account. Amazon is giving everyone who has one 500 Amazon coins that you can use to buy apps or things within apps (game tokens and the like). You can also purchase more coins if you want to. The Amazon coins are a new product - you got the free sample to encourage you to buy more.

Amazon is a great company. I just used my coins to unlock the full version of a game. Thanx Amazon! 500 coins are free but you can add more if needed. Just find whatever app you want and download it, itll deduct automatically.

I'm guessing they will be much like buying chips in a casino................

Does anyone know if it is 500 coins per Fire registered to your account or a one time deal of 500?

In reply to an earlier post on May 13, 2013, 9:48:50 AM PDT
rickh57 says:
It seems to be just a one time deal. I have 2 Fires and one Fire HD registered on my account, but the email said that I have 500 coins.

So far, I haven't found a site where it shows my coin balance. I looked at My Account, etc.

You can use them here on amazon.com as well. When you buy an app you have the choice to pay with coins or 1-click in the buy box on the right.

One offer per account, not per Fire.

Beth says:
It was posted elsewhere that you can see your balance if you go to the App store on your Fire it shows in the bottom right corner. I do not have my Fire with me so have not confirmed.

Beth W is correct and I can confirm - bottom righthand corner when you are in the App Store on your Kindle Fire.
