Did you even consider WHY no one responded to your 2 previous posts that are almost exactly the same as this one?

Steven,
Thanks for the info on Stacey Cochran. I will check it out.

I recently published my debut thriller, Seven Days From Sunday.

Two things I have found: 1) price. I lowered my price to 99-cents and then it really went. At least compared to my original price of $4. I don't intend to get rich, just want people to have the chance to read my work.

2) the more of these community discussion groups you join in, plugging your book, the better. And check out the other indie book blogs out there. Word has to get out. Once the book starts to sell, you'll see then that you make different Amazon ratings.

Good luck,
MH Sargent

This has got to be a set up.

You didn't bother to read the rules of posting here, did you?

You need to remove your post from this forum. It's against the rules to promote your own books here. Click the Meet Our Authors link at the bottom of this page if you want to promote your books.

ETA: And just basically pay attention. The thread you're posting in died nearly four years ago. Look at dates of posts and don't just randomly post in very long-dormant threads.

If it is, it certainly took her a long time to follow up.

Sharon, you are walking in the footsteps of hundreds of people before you who argued about forum rules and insisted on spamming. If you continue, nothing good will come of it.

Yes, but look at THE DATE it was posted. Nearly four years ago. Rules can change in four years. And the rules have changed. You're not allowed to promote here.

And really, posting over and over again in multiple threads (I think you have three going at this point?) is just tacky. That's the entire reason self-promotion was banned. This entire forum was just author after author after author after author making post after post after post after post about their own books that i just got ridiculous. So Amazon made a brand spanking NEW FORUM for you all to post in.

That post, if made today, would be a violation of this forum. Amazon no longer permits self-promotion here.

Amazon will delete your posts eventually. The users here will put you on their "Never buy from this author" lists.

The thread has been dead for four years. It was created before the no self promotion rules were implemented to curb the flood of advertising done here.

Passive aggressive net nannying is just so blasé these days.

So, instead of saying "Sorry, I was unaware of the rules, and I'll delete my posts," you spam your book again.

Reported, and put on my list of authors to ignore.

Wow. Is there an 'off' switch?

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 29, 2014 5:17:56 PM PST
Well, you're certainly well on your way to never selling any of your books. Keep up the good work!

Seriously, you're not doing yourself any favors by continuing to post on and on about your book and the issues you write about. This isn't the place for it.

WHERE is that SWITCH?!?

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 29, 2014 5:20:24 PM PST
*sigh*

It should be common sense not to resurrect a thread that's been dead for four years. There is no official time frame, but really, just don't post here if all you're going to do is talk about your book.

Nobody here is upset because of obesity and poor health. We're upset because you broke the rules and are continuing to post about your book's subject in a place that IS NOT APPROPRIATE for that discussion. This is a KINDLE forum, not a place to promote your Kindle book (there's a separate forum for that). It's a place to talk about KINDLE-RELATED topics. Obesity is not a Kindle-related topic and therefore has no business being discussed here.
