I know it's a micro HDMI connection, but does it need the mhl adaptor or just a micro HDMI to HDMI cable?

The product page states it is a Micro-D connector.

Success at last.....finally got my Kindle HD to work with my Samsung TV.....the problem turned out to be a defective first Mini cable....just got a second (from a different source) cable today....one recommended by many in these discussions, and it works fantastic. The "winning" cable is the BlueRigger High Speed Micro HDMI to HDMI cable with Ethernet (10 Feet) by BlueRigger(TM). The Blue Rigger company has been great responding to my questions....and the Kindle download of the first movie I tried was perfect....great picture....no "gaps".

I have a samsung TV and when I plug the cable in, I get red lines going across the screen. Did you have any of those problems?
