Yes you will need to download a printer app from the app store to print to a wifi printer.

Lisa,

I know there is an HP printer app that allows you to print to a wireless HP printer. What I don't know is if Amazon has the app that will do that or if the Fire is capable of running it and making it work.

What you could do is contact Amazon Kindle support or search the Amazon app store for the app and try it yourself to see if it works.

I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help :)

When you set up the printer you should have also set up an email address for it. This allows you to print things by just emailing them to your printer. This will accept Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files, emails, and photos. They say that it currently does not support printing web pages using this method at this time.

Lisa, PrinterShare Mobile Print works very well with my wireless HP printer. As long as the Fire and the printer are on the same wireless network you can print.

inability to print from books of Tattoo Flash kinda bites. Bought 2 such books, not thrilled with having to do kludges to print the images to use as Flash(Stencil)

My printer is not wireless. Do I just connect printer to kindle fire? Do i need the app?

Bixillarla says:
Donna you have to use a wireless printer. There is no plug in spot on the Kindle to connect a printer to it with a wire.

The app allows you to print to a wireless printer.

Yes, if there is a compatible app that will work for your printer. Check the Amazon App Store.

I have a Kindle Fire HD (previous edition), and a Canon Pixma MG3520 wireless printer. Can I print from the Kindle? If so, how?

As already suggested, look for a compatible app in the Amaxon App Store.

Look for a Canon app either on the Amazon App Store or another app store like 1Mobile.

I downloaded :-:-hP plug in but don't know the next step . There's no print button to tap for a print . Pls advise

frank: open the ePrint app and then find the file that you want to print, and then print it. That works for me. You don't print from within the file or the app that you use to view the file.

You can't print Amazon ebooks.
