I have the Kindle app on my iphone. Is there any way to remove or archive a book that you have downloaded to read on your phone? Thank you!

Just swipe to the right on the book title. That should bring up an option to delete/archive.

this only archives the books but they are still visible on the list... how can they be permanently deleted?

would love to know the answer to this...I have tons of books on my iphone, and ipad that I would like to delete...I don't want them to still be visible on the screen of the kindle app on them. Any advice?

Dorsie says:
Go to the Manage Your Kindle page listed in the dropdown Your Account menu at the top of every Amazon page. You can delete books permanently from your account there. Be aware that when you delete them, they are truly gone and you will have to repurchase if you ever want to read them again.

If you don't want to see archived books, select 'device' instead of 'cloud' on the app's home screen.
